Your business is going global.
Your employer footprint is going with it.
Woodhead’s Law Practice provides international employment counsel to growing companies building across borders.
About Woodhead’s Law
Woodhead's Law Practice is a solo firm built around one thing: helping growing companies get their international employer structure right. That includes EOR contract review, contractor classification, country entry, supply chain due diligence, and the structural decisions that determine whether your global hiring holds up to scrutiny later.
Halima Woodhead is an international labor and employment lawyer with fourteen years in the field. She has global expertise and particularly deep experience in Latin America. Before private practice, she advised foreign governments on labor and employment legislation, regulations, and enforcement frameworks; led cross-border investigations, including personally interviewing over a thousand workers across countries and sectors; and held foreign governments accountable for their labor-related treaty obligations. That perspective is unusual on the employer side, and useful for companies that want to understand how compliance actually gets evaluated, not just how it gets documented.
She works exclusively with employers — and specifically with growing companies — because that's where and when the hardest decisions get made. Companies built soundly from the start don't have to be unbuilt later.
Most clients are founder-led companies with Seed/Series A/Series B funding, or growing companies further along that are operating internationally without in-house employment expertise.
The Practice is based in Western North Carolina; the work is primarily virtual.
